Robby Response
Hi Marie,
I don’t know if I like the wording of “The health risks of air pollution.” Risk seems to be more connected with actions and something that can be avoided, but air pollution is already here and we encounter it every day because we have to, not because we are consciously taking the risk of breathing air. I would prefer something like “How air pollution affects your health.”
Even though you are taking a more info-graphic approach I would still like to see some kind of impactful
headline that catches the audience’s attention, rather than just saying "Air pollution affects your health."
I like how your using a lot of images to accompany the text. I would say that the first design on the left is more effective because the idea is more focused and the design is less cluttered than the second idea on the right. Though the one on the right is organized, it is almost overwhelming with information.
Including the “Way’s we can improve section” is important; you’ve shown us what the problem is, why it matters and how it affects us, and you finish with what we can do about it. It’s a complete message.
My Response:
I agree that my title was not impactful. Truthfully I was still thinking of different names for my poster at that time. With this rough I wanted to see different layouts of how I can do this project. The more I thought about it I agree that the rough on the left is the one I feel is more specific and more effective for my message. I definitely wanted my poster to have the solutions to how we can reduce pollution in Utah. Our health is important and air pollution is affecting it and causing damage to it. Having solutions helps the audience to participate in bettering the air quality here in Utah so that we can breathe more easily and with less affects. Thank you for your response. It has helped me with this process of getting to a much better and communicative message.
